Guys, along with minibikes and karts, I also race gas powered RC hydroplanes. The boats are 42-45" long and run a mod zenoah 260. they run in the mid sixties to low seventies. a total rush with 6 boat heats!

We had a MRS Budweiser once at the shop, seemed like 4 feet or so very cool.

I grew up with hydro's on lake Washington and saw about every race as a kid. I think I was a huge Bardol back then.

All the kids used to drag wooden hydro's from the back of their bikes with nails at the bottom for sparks.

Anyone else do that as a kid or was it just a local thing?

Oh yeah, we did that as kids. Had the old rookie baseball cards clothes pinned to the spokes for the engine sound. Had to love the old Slo-Mo-Shun.
