when purchasing 225cc tillotson block they are setup to mount a aluminum plate on top. i'm sure it's for mounting a fuel pump for a gokart..etc...
going to replace it with a thick piece of aluminum plate and act more like a gusset plate for the top.

this part getting milled. governor boss/post coming off and the four bolt holes clean up little so everything is square.
i had a piece of thick scarp aluminum i rough cut out first with what tools and fixtures i had at home at the time.
square it off first on the mill.
note the two holes in the plate. they will get plug off later.
clean up the surface little.
made some pretty lines/grooves.
test mounting first to see how it fits.
then just hit it lightly and block sand it to give a clean finish and couple light coats of satin clear on it....done
