Ok I just stripped my old X-treme scooter of it's engine and plan on putting a Honda Gx160. I'm looking for ideas on how to mount the engine, what clutch to use, and if I should adjust to a bigger sprocket. Thanks. - mnibike

I will take any suggestions and update this post as I continue to finish the project.

you will have to go to atleast a #35 sprocket in order to use a standard clutch. i would also extend the base/rear end of the scoot to give room for the motor and still have enough room to stand "safely", and fit a band brake around the clutch or better yet, a disc brake on the outside of the clutch.

im building a big version of one of these.

Actually I like the idea of what Briggsscooter did and I'm going to put a TAV on.... Could someone identify which TAV setup he has on his scooter. Thanks -mnibike

I would stick with a standard clutch. The TAV starts out at 10:1. I cant see that you would need that kind of bottom end.
