Have a question about Heathkit Boonie brake

Sorry, the FNG dig was meant for GTO... he and I are friends and I was just razzing him a bit, as he knows more about these things than I do. No offense meant to anyone else. :doah:

Went to a lawnmower shop today that has old stock mini bike parts upstairs, I've been up there before but now the on guy almost wouldn't let us up there claiming the stairs are hazardous. ut: (total bull)

Anyway he rushed me through so I couldn't take my time. I got some jack shaft and gear stuff but I was really looking for a back up brake for the boonie. He said they stopped making those size shoes a long time ago and said they were made by Comet. all he had were the next size down which were 5" drums and brakes. :doah:

I hate being rushed through because I would have bought alot of neat stuff there,,,,,,, oh well, :censure: em.

Hey GTO

The brake is the same as the Bonanza 5" brake. I bought a Bendix off ebay for $40. Was a perfect fit!

I have an original sprocket/drum brake left from my Boonie when i put on the live axle. Let me know if you need it.
