heat shrink?

Heat shrink is great. Been using it for years, both in the Navy and now. Great at keeping water/dirt from connections. Also aids in holding the wires together far better then tape.

solder the wires first /slide the heat shrink on first and push it as far away from the connection as possible then solder the connection and let it cool then slide your heat shrink over the connecion and heat it to shrink it/if you heat it too much it will burn or tear/do a trial run first
