History of Manco Thunderbird

I just want to know for the most part when they were first made. what year? Any other info would be helpful too

Manco took the bike and name (as well as other Bird made products) over sometime in the late 1980's from Bird/Phoenix. In 1988 it still looked like the Bird version but under the Manco name. Between then and 1990 it got revamped at some point to what is typically seen with the flat engine plate, suspension seat, and different wheels/tires.
