Homemade Delta 163RX street bike build.

#1
Hey guys. This is a project that I started back in April or June. I actually used an E-SCOOTER frame for the main thing. It has a Honda GX160 163cc engine on it with a Comet 30 series torque converter.
Questions or comments???

I would re-engineer the battery box so that the battery rested in a plastic battery box like so many lawn tractors out there. With the expected vibration the battery’s plastic case will soon suffer a failure from the wear.
Nice work!

You know...I actually never thought about that. What if I put the battery box with grommets right on top of the engine using the original tank mounts?

I try to isolate the battery from vibration, so a padded frame mount is where I start. I remember maybe Dr Shop Teacher had a Gilson bike build he did and mounted a much smaller battery on the engine.
