HS 50 (non points) running issue

#1
This is on a snowblower and not on a bike. It has a new spark plug and carb and oil change. I have the carb adjusted and it idles and revs up perfectly and no blue smoke. I noticed that the head bolts were loose and I torqued them down again. Under a load it coughs and dies and I need the choke to start it again. Never had this problem before. I am leaning toward a bad head gasket? I also tied to spray carb cleaner around the gasket surfaces and no change. Any ideas would be helpful.

I would place a bet that the float level is too low under load uses all the fuel it can.... Yes a new crab but might need to check float level. ..

I took it apart to check the float level and it was right on. Pulled it off the snowblower and installed a clone. I'll look into the running issue further over the winter and then it's going on a bike!
