Is this HS50 block worth saving

ok...I’ve torn down my HS50 67023. I noticed inside the crankcase the walls of the block are deteriorating. Is it junk now?

If you are talking about those lines that look like cracks? No I see that in a lot of them it’s not really cracks but something with the casting process. Yours just seems to have a lot.

i'm with ole4, that's just casting flash. nothing to worry about....all good.

Phew!...Thought maybe it was overheating or something. I was not looking forward to hunting for another block. Thanks guys. I actually have another identical block that has some cylinder pitting...can they be bored out...the bottom of these cylinders look pretty thin. Ive seen oversize pistons up to .020
