I am trying to restore a Mountaineer trail bike I came upon and need to completely replace the variable speed pulley on the Jack shaft. The old one is shot. I came across a Lovejoy pulley on Amazon that is the same bore and size as the old one , but it is rated 36 inch pounds torque. I don't know if that would be correct as I don't know what it is suppose to be rated at. Anyone know anything about variable speed pulley torque specs. Also what size pulley should be on the engine shaft ? Any help would be appreciated. I'm kind of over my head with this project , but I'm having fun doing it.

If you can post a photo or two of the old part, I bet somebody here will have an idea.

Mountaineer used both a Deepco Maximatic and V-plex systems. I think the Love-joy would be worth a try if the belt width is comparable.
