LED Headlamp bulb

#2
I found these headlamps that come with a halogen bulb with the same base as the light on the left. That bulb requires a regulator or it will burn out. The light on the right is very tolerant of overvoltage. The second pic is some of the ones I have used and the upper left are the stop/taillight bulbs that replace a incandescent 1157 bulb. With a regulator rectifier setup any of them will work. I have also used old bulbs by breaking the vacuum seal and drilling a hole in the back with a home depot glass drill and using the bulb on the right in the first picture, worked really well but a lot of work. Drill is in the third picture. 4th pic is a cheap ebay regulator rectifier which I needed to keep the bulb next to it from burning out.
