Little Petro

#1
I purchased this little Petro minibike on Tuesday... been working my butt off just to get it to this point.
This little bike was manufactured in Los Angeles in around 1960. It has a one-horsepower two stroke Olhsson and Rice engine. The length is 29" height 26", weight is 29 lbs. and frame is 5/8" steel tubing. The guy that test rode these weighed 300 lbs!
My plans are to restore this bike and put it back to original. I'm going to tear down, rechrome forks and paint the frame back to the original blue. I need an original chain guard and to come up with some kind of twist throttle to fit 5/8" handlebars. Also, I need a throttle linkage.
And yes, this is the one that was on eBay.

those things are so cool and I've never seen one up close. They would make good traners for small kids but impossible for me to ride since I lean to much in the turns, I've been known grind 60T sprockets let alone them foot bars! :doah:

The chain gaurd could be tough. :sadcrying4:
