Manco thunderbird question

What's up everyone, does anyone know or have tried using aftermarket gas cap or something similar for Manco thunderbird gas tank? Also when reading seria/model # does it say what year built?

mine just had a serial number no year.
and let me guess,the little breather knob on the top of your gas cap broke right off right?

There were a couple of different tank styles I believe. A picture would help. :thumbsup:

If yours has the recessed / dished in top and a 1 1/2" neck, the old style 1 1/2" Tecumseh cap will work.

No gasket is shot so gas spills out a little. Thanks for info
