Matika chainsaw flywheel fin broke off

#1
As you read the title, i broke a fin trying to get to the points cause theres no spark, but will this make any difference? Ive seen forums of counter acting this broken flywheel fin and breaking one on the oppisite side, but what should i do?

A new one costs 100 though, so i think i might as well leave it as is
Have you seen what can happen when a flywheel comes apart? I know it's smaller than one that's on a mini bike, but I'm sure it could do some damage.

It might be fine, it might come apart on you. I'd rather spend the $100 and not have to worry about it.

If the powerplant was on a popular saw, you might have luck buying on the used market. Floyd’s in Coopersville, Mi. is an example of the type of business I would contact.
That flywheel would be a base for a mini bike trophy if it was mine.
I guess I didn’t tell you what to do, just what I would start working-on.
Hope this helps,
Steve

I had a fin break off on an old Dremel years ago... It threw it out of balance and the thing vibrated so bad that you couldn't use it. Don't know if it will affect this in the same way or not.
