Hey folks,
My name is Jesse. I just picked up my first mini bike recently off of the facebook marketplace (of all places!)
Hoping to get it fixed up and going for the summer. I've always wanted a mini bike ever since my dad sold his when I was a little kid.
Here's the picture of it the day I got it. I cropped it out of the for sale ad, it's been raining so I haven't taken a new picture.
I think it's a Manco Thunderbird from what I've been told.
As you can see it needs a few dozen parts thrown at it, but it was cheap.
I have a 6.5hp OHV briggs engine I was going to put on another project that I've been procrastinating about, so for now it goes on this one.
I need to build a new exhaust for it because the 6.5 engine has just a pipe with a 90 in it.
I also need to find a good thumb throttle setup, some springs for the kickstand and scrub brake, and perhaps a new gas tank... I think the nipple was broken off the bottom. I need to take a better look at that.
Thanks for having me. Hope to chat with you all soon and learn all sorts of cool tricks to do to this thing.
