I just finished installing the OldMiniBikes Warehouse Torque Converter + Stage 1 bolt on kit on my CT200U and WOW! This thing is ridiculous. The install was easy and took maybe 2 hours - a second would be much quicker now that I learned a few things. I took a few notes that i think could help others:
1) the kit comes with metric hardware for the torque converter but my crankshaft was tapped SAE - 5/16” -24 (fine thread), 2”. Every other bolt fit the stock engine.
2) you MUST remove your stock airbox and muffler before attempting to raise the engine or it won’t fit.
3) the exhaust header gasket is tucked between two pieces of cardboard and can easily be confused with packing material... don’t throw it away
4) the emulsion tube doesn’t always want to fall free - if it doesn’t, you can gently knock it out with a screwdriver from the carb venturi.
5) the rear pulley needs to be tight but not crazy - there is a little C-ring on the back... make sure you don’t tighten enough to deform it!
This kit is awesome and well worth the money in my opinion. The included riser moves the engine up AND forward, so you don’t need to cut anything off the frame and can reinstall the chain guard. If I pull back the throttle all the way from takeoff, I immediately jump into a wheelie... I have a second kit to install and I’m going to record it to help anyone else who is a novice like me. If there are any particular things you’d like to see, let me know and I’ll try to incorporate it.
