Thats all I did with my fenders, trimmed them a little to give them a better look, scuffed the paint with some fine grit sandpaper and the paint went on nice. Id do at least two coats though, save the primer and just put on an extra coat of whatever color your using so if you get any chips, which you probably will, they will be less likely to show. I was thinking about painting the frame but thought it would be to much of a hassle so I just did the fenders so my DB doesnt look like everyone elses.
