I see it cheaper than $249 in the Sunday's advertisements all the time. My local Pep Boys had them for $199 a while back. You can get it in the box, but they say that that will void the warranty.

I haven't seen them for less than $249 where I live. I bought 2 at that price last winter.
You're right about the warranty supposedly being void if you buy them without prep.
As I said in another thread, they don't do much for prep, and, most of what they did, I had to re-do to make the bikes safe!
