I've been bitten by the "bug" it seems.
After building up a frame (poorly) modified by someone else, and getting some more speed out of it, I've decided to build my own frame before I try to go any faster.
Originally I was planning to stay with my warmed over 212, then I entertained building a Vegas Cart 460, but after looking into what it would cost to implement a Jr Dragster style clutch, and achieve decent performance while retaining reliability, I decided to pick up a 400cc twin out of snowmobile, complete with clutch for less than the billet parts in my predator.
obviously, this will take up a bit more space than a standard mini engine, but shouldn't be as large as some other bikes around here running 650cc triples, haha.
I started sketching up a frame and collecting parts. I have Jr dragster rear slick, still trying to determine a source for a front wheel that will fit the scale of the build. Going with a 1.25 live axle and a 1" jackshaft for the sled secondary. Frame will be 1.25" 0.083 wall because that is the smallest die I have for my tubing bender.
Currently working towards a 50" wheelbase.
I am more of an engineer than an artist, so I am open to suggestions in terms of keeping it aesthetically pleasing...
