Some fun with another Briggs 3hp

we welded up the cam and we didn't get the tach hooked up before it threw the rod.

5hp rods are just weak I guess..

That has not been my experience with the OEM Briggs rods. Now, with Tecumseh rods that is a different story...

Did not realize this was a methanol motor.
methanol makes great power but is hard on aluminum and fuel needs to be flushed out

This is not a methanol engine I was just pointing out I knew well and good about those two holes behind the jet being clean. and I also know I can slot them to run methanol. I cannot get methanol around here cheap enough to verify it. The only thing close is 118 or something and I could only imagine that would be terrible for a small Briggs?
