speedway widow maker picked up 2 weeks ago from a guy that had ridden it when it was complete . The bike is missing throttle assembly on carb, exhaust, and jackshaft. Any speedway guys let me know if finding a replacement carb is even possible and if not what carb could be used. I am also wondering if a sachs 50 exhaust would work. I do know that 2 strokes have exhausts that create vacuum to move the piston. I hope that a 50 exhaust works because i think the 80 is really rare for sachs. i am going to put tubes in clean the rims put a jack shaft and a predator engine until i can find the parts to restore the engine. i can't wait to drive it. Engine has good spark and compression and the recoil is good. I also have the clutch cover and the tires are original.
anyone know how rare these are and if there are good survivors out there. I do remember seeing a couple on ebay. Any input or advice is welcome I do want to keep this bike alive for another 50 years if i could.
