has anyone milled the head down on a tec.hs4.0? do you think there would be a performance gain if you mill the head like .030 down to raise the compression ratio?

Just remove gasket and lap head and block using valve grinding compound.
Assemble with Permatex Super "300".
Check valve to head clearances with modeling clay before closing it up permanently.
Use a torque wrench.
Guaranteed you will notice the difference.

Belt Sander

My buddy has a 6 inch bench mounted belt sander and he takes them down to just about level with the piston/head area. It's about .20 +/- And then he will just give a little relief from the valve pocket in the head between the valve area and the piston with a burr. It's rather unorthodox but it definitely makes a difference. He has a tac on his rototiller and tills around 6000 RPM, LOL he put a strait stack on it as well. He's not all there, but his tiller will definitely get it done. It a old Gilson BTW
