Hi, I have a tillotson 212 with Hotmod 2 cam and billet rod, 22lb spring, 212R Cast Alum Flywheel. I wanted to swap my head just temporarily to the predator hemi 212 because my right intake valve has bent on the original tillotson head. I have the parts coming but I just want to ride. Thank you.
I tried selling this motor a while back and no luck, so I am just going to build this and document the progress in this thread. This motor is a hemi bottom end with a non hemi clone 18CC head:
ARC +.040 rod
Hemi flat top piston milled .005
pop up is +.015(above deck)
Will be using a .045...
Just had my Hemi 212 head milled .055, running a +.020 rod with zero deck height and a .027 multilayer gasket.
I want to know whats the correct piston to valve clearance...also do i need shorter pushrods to keep proper geometry.

So I bought this UT2 head and was pretty excited about it. It has a 18cc chamber so it raises compression on my 196 and it has a 26mm intake valve. Last night I found it had a 23mm exhaust not a 24mm as well. I thought O great as the GX200 and clones have disproportionate sized valves anyways...
I bought the head light and the switch knobs were broken. What are the correct switches to replace them with. It had 2 switches with on/off and high/low. I already have a replacement lense on its way for it.

Ordered the champion shaft rockers today. Are they a full bolt on or do I need to machine the head at all? There going on a UT2 160 head. Am wondering if the rocker stud boss needs machined down at all or machined flat.

Question to the experts. During disassembly of the carb for clean and rebuild, I removed the spiral metal pc to get at the throttle plate screw. Any reason I have to put it back in? I am thinking I can leave it out. Pretty much destroyed it getting it out anyways.

Dose the Predator head gasket fit the clone block? I have a Ducar block bored to 2.765" for using a predator piston. Was thinking and thought it would be better to use the Predator gasket if it fits.
