tecumseh carb help

wile looking for a replacement carb for my hs50 i found one that looks good but the plastic fuel fitting is broke off the carb. there is a metel splined thing still in there. are the plastic fuel inlet fittings replacable??-phil

Yep. Just get a new fitting and put it back on.

They are cheap and easy to replace. Just take a little care and tap or press the new fitting in at the appropriate angle.

Phil, if your new carb is used........remove float bowl......hold float and shake carb up and down..listen for a rattle.........if no rattle fire that baby in the junk pile.......the idle passage check valve is either varnished or most likely rusted and if rusted....there is no repair
