Tecumseh diaphragm carb ID

#1
Hey guys and gals, I finally started work on the Clinton 2 cycle engine I’ve been holding onto. Someone had replaced the carburetor with a Lauson unit, which I’m trying to identify. I don’t believe it’s a good match for this engine but I did get it running. Anyway, on the mounting flange is “828 4C9”. It has separate H and L adjustments but I don’t believe this was meant for a 2 cycle. On the diaphragm flange there is “F 3”, so I confirmed that the diaphragm was in the correct orientation. Body>diaphragm>gasket>cap.

For now I just did a quick disassembly clean and assemble. The diaphragm was a little stiff and I did not remove the welsh plugs. I’m deciding between rebuilding it, or just purchasing a new carb. I’m going to post a short video in the 2 cycle section. 29145C50-5B98-4E4A-93DE-3F78AD1EA9FD.jpeg 77DC116A-7FB8-4F7D-8D63-5B33D30AC7E1.jpeg EF43342C-6A5A-4BAE-B770-3A873CB965F6.jpeg

Well the answer was sitting right in front of me further down the list. It looks like it was from a H30 or H35. 4C9 is the date code, I’m guessing 1974 March 9th.
