tecumseh dip stick tube.

Putting a 5hp tecumseh into my bike and the long dipstick fill tube cap (just slightly higher than the head) ends up being tight against the cross bar. do they make a shorter one, or do you just modify the long one or delete it completely.
Just wondering if anyone else has done it.

Is yours the new style like that or the old type that has a regular thumb type oil cap/dip stick? If it's the older style you can un-screw the tube and simply trim off extra leanth of the stick or just unscrew the stick from the cap completly. The minibikes with a H Big Block normally did not use a tube.

Its the screw on like this one. I figured if a part like this did not exist I would try cutting and splicing the tube. But after looking up the part mybiz sent i found a place taht sells it for $1.24:thumbsup:. I would be ut: to try and do it for that price. I'm the cheapest guy on the block but even I cant :hack: for that price:thumbsup::thumbsup:
