Tote Gote 750 Racer (#2)

I found this tote gote frame a while back, its the second "racer" bike that I've been fortunate enough to find. This one has the 750 badge on it but the front end was added on later to handle the bigger tire. It also has a wide brake band on the jack shaft. The guy I bought it from said he saved it from the scrap yard so i'm not sure on the history but I'm sure it was built to race. Its sitting next to my other racer that I've stripped down to restore plus a couple other 750s.

I agree "built to race". Welded foot rests are very high and head stock angle is extreme. Whoever did this was a serious racer. Rear tire is mounted with tread 'backwards'. I wish these old gotes could talk so we knew their history...

That thing is Zesty! All we ever see come up around here are Model B's. I should say "All I see"

I really wish I knew the history on this one. I've always tried to look for it in old photos but haven't ever found anything.

suffice to say it's all smiles... how could you avoid being the cool guy on the block while racing this on the weekends!
