US Motor 820 (West Bend 820) on s Rupp

#1
HI all,

Anyone here ever tried mounting a US motors (West Bend 820) on a 1971 Rupp Scrambler? That sounds like it would be a fun combination.

Thanks,

Bill

Which Rupp Scrambler? The 69, 70 or 71?

I'm sure it's been done before. That's a lot of power for the 6" wheel version, but I think it would work well on the 10" version

Issues I see are the US MOTOR 820 does not come with a 3 inch crank length. The Rupp torque converter could come unglued at high RPMS.

There are torque converters drivers made for the two strokes. I bought two Macs with them. A few years ago I bought a 6" wheel Rupp that had the 820 on it but never tried it. I kept the 820 and sold the rupp. The 820 is still in the garage, so much for plans for it.
