Wanting to buy a 16hp Engine

I would not use anything but a disc type clutch on it with heavy weights and light springs. your looking for 1600-1800 rpm of ingagement and no more or you will waste all that power.

Be aware that the one inch shaft clutches are not all made the same. Some have an open end and can be reversed when mounted for use on a Minibike or jackshaft. Some have a closed type end to be used in a gokart type set up.

Dam that clutch is pricey.. I am trying to spend about 100 or less for a clutch
Your not going to get what that motor can give you with a cheap clutch. Search ebay for a used one if you want to save money,it will be worth your time.
The other thing you can do is pull the crank and have it turned down to 3/4",that is what I do on mine.

It is going on a Murray Kart the frame will be fine because my friend has a welder. So what is a good brand to search for on eBay? What kind should I get because I want to get the full power out of the engine

WE PUT A GX390 IN ONE OF OUR KARTS.GOT IT HARDLY USED FOR 250.00
40 SERIES CLUTCHES.A LITTLE FASTER THAN THE 6.5 THAT WAS IN IT BUT NOT MUCH .ONLY MODS ARE A PIPE,JET AND AIR FILTER..BUT HAS A HELLUVA LOT MORE POWER AND TORQUE THEN THE 6.5..I'M SURE WE COULD GET ALOT MORE SPEED WITH BILLET PARTS AND NO GOVENER.BUT NOT IN THE BUDGET RIGHT NOW
PULLS MY BIG BUTT UP ANY OF THE HILLS AROUND HERE NO PROBLEM.

I like your kart "Yoop" But I do not wont to use a Torque converter, I rather have it chain drive. I already had a torque convert on there and the belts kept messing up so i rather just go straight chain n clutch
