warrior/heat headlamp question

#1
I removed the big stock headlamp, and put on 2 small led running lamps from auto-zone. they aren't any brighter than the dim stock one. are these bikes 6 volt?, or just don't put out enough current. I noticed most people run the rechargeable type. thank you.

Well start with the basics, do you have a good ground, and what voltage are you getting to the lamps?
Could be something as simple as a poor connection. After that, then if it's a lack of voltage, you could have a faulty lighting coil. Or a faulty regulator if it' equipped with one.

LED's would use less current then the stock lamp, but still require a good ground and correct voltage. Problem with these type set ups is no true regulation of voltage, low at idle, and high when running. Makes the lamps go dim and bright. Also LED's can tend to flicker.

What a lot do is install a battery and voltage rectifier/regulator to correct this.

You would wire it up like this.

I studied that and realize these have 35watt ac current. the stock bulb is a 35watt. the stock lamp is so big because they use a big reflector to make it appear stronger than it is . no matter what I use it will never be brighter without using a rectifier and battery thank you.

Led's do not like AC it causes them to flicker and shortens their life. If you get a regulator/rectifier they will work much better. Some of the better tympainum regulator rectifiers have a small capacitor in them so you do not need a battery.
