This is one of the rarest of the steens built bikes. It was called the Timberline and was built in 1963, the same year Jon Steen started building the Taco minibike. As far as I can tell it was only made for that one year in '63. It features a Continental 2.8 hp engine, an open cog 2 speed transmission, and several cast Aluminum parts such as the front and rear scrub brakes, swing arm, gear shift lever, and brake peddle. If you look closely you can see duel wheel sprockets, a large one on the left side, and a smaller one on the right side. When the transmission is shifted, it moves the engine power from either side of the real wheel providing a choice of 24:1 or 12:1 gear ratio. This bike is 100% original and is only missing the fiberglass shroud and seat which will be made when restored.
