I was wondering if you can change the automatic transmission on a DB30 into a manual transmission?

my carburerator is leaking gas real bad. i took it off, and made sure everything was good, then put it back on. the gasket isn't ripped or anything, and everything is on tight, but when i turn the gas switch valve on, gas pours out. does anyone know how to fix this? thanks for any help.
