Hey guys I need some help, I just rebuilt a 3hp Briggs I/C FH and it's not firing. The carb is sucking up the gas and getting it to the plug because the plug is wet, and it has really good big spark, but it won't fire. :doah:
I know for sure that I got the cam and the crank gears lined up...
For some reason my motor won't stop misfiring/backfiring. I've cleaned the carburetor, replaced spark plug, changed oil, changed air filter, and replaced the priming bulb. But the problem remains. So if you could please lead me in the direction of how to fix this it would be much appreciated...
First check flywheel keyway and see if it's shered or slightly shered this effects the timing. But if you have good points and condensor then check the coil with a ohm meter disconnect all wires and spark plug wire. put one lead on the end of the coil wire and one to the other end of one of the...
so i got a free briggs 5hp I/C with the ball bearings, i drilled a hole in the exhaust pipe now it backfires like a mofo, anything i can do to aleveate this?
