lifter

I have 1.3 rockers on my engine and when I turned it to the intake-exhaust stroke it ticks pretty loud when the valves open? Do I have A problem?? Thanks

How does one go about doing this? I mean I know that it is welded and where it needs to be welded but how many passes? How much build up? Do the lifter holes need to be cleaned out any after the welding, valve guides installed? I'm new to all this and am going to have the window in my raptor...
