I'm looking for a clutch that won't sputter and doesn't take a long time to stop the slip transition

The title basically says it. It's got a new ignition coil; the carb has been douched quite well; it has spark, but the only way I can get any firing out of it is with the choke wide open and even then it'll sputter for a few seconds, and die. Could it be flooding itself out? It take a few pulls...
