What is this gaping hole here on the left under the bowl on a new nos carburetor I got today? Shouldn't there be a Welsh plug covering this? Before I pop one in I just want to make sure the newer carbs didn't come with this open. Thanks

I picked up another 5 hp briggs yesterday. Its the newer style 135202 made in 92. After inspection I found that where the welch plug goes someone had pluged it with a screw and nut? Would it be ok to just stick it back in there or should I order one?? This engine has awesome compression...
How many welch plugs are on a small 2 pc. flojet? Between the choke and the main needle I have a spot on my carb for a welch plug I think. It might also be a drain hole or a breather hole possibly.
I believe the only welch plug on these carbs is on the end of the tube for removal of the choke...
