10hp Tech Crank

I just got a spare 10hp Tech (HM 100) off a generator with a tapered shaft. Does anyone make an adapter to go from a taper to a 3/4" or 1" shaft? If not where is a good place to get a replacement crank? anybody got any other solutions let me know.

How long is the crank, from the sump cover? Maybe I missed it, but what size is the straight part of the crank?

It's about 3" long

It looks like a 1" crank, right at the sump. How far out from that point, does the crank still measure at least 3/4"?

I'll have to look & check. Think I could grind it down to fit a 3/4" clutch? Then make a cut for the key? Anybody ever have luck doing that?

Folks do it all the time. I'm not quite sure, but you should have it around 2 1/4" long. Scott.
