1969 Rupp Roadster

How come some 1969 Rupp Roadsters have a chain tensioner on the swing arm and some do not. This one on ebay does not have one. What determined that? Just curious.

The earlier ones didnt have them and they had a optional chain tentioner you could buy extra, then they started building them into the swing arm

Cool thanks for the info. I just picked one up like what is on ebay and it did not have one on the swingarm so I wanted to know what the deal was.
