1986 Honda z50 Christmas Special

I am rebuilding my 1986 honda z50 and the aftermarket stator has more wires than the coil on the bike. this black box in the picture has no where to go. Im not sure. It says it is a Trigger Coil. If anyone can help that would be great.

yes,the black box is a pick-up coil. if this is an older z50 it would have had points in it. the set-up you have is for a newer xr50. i do not think you can convert it because there is no place to mount pick up and it will not have the correct flywheel to make it work.:smile:
