3/4"Crank fixture for drilling and tapping

I use two clamp collars and a drill bushings to guide my way…very simple…then get you a 3/8x24 tap…or 5/16 if you wish….

Ok I searched for months on this topic, asked and no one knew…so I asked the old machinist at work …he said this is what he’d do…so I had him cut a drill bushing a little long…put it in a clamp collar, clamp a second collar on the shaft and the remaining bushing…drill 1/4”…then I put in the Q bushing and drill it for 3/8x24….some like 5/16….matter of choice….I like the collars because they give me something to grab on if the shaft starts to spin… 7550EDA8-927F-4D17-9D41-0B72E07B2342.jpeg 10C2C9AD-0F66-46EE-9500-6556E765AEB6.jpeg
