I have the 1st generation 6hp b&s and just acquired a newer or last generation 8hp to replace the old 6hp in my tote goat. The 6hp has the down draft carb with a air vein governor and the 8hp has a side draft carb with a mechanical governor. My throttle setup on my 6hp has the spring loaded throttle arm the attatches to the head bolts. I noticed that I can swap the carbs but how do I use my throttle setup if im going to use the mechanical governor where my 6hp uses the air vein? Cannot use the side draft carb its too long to fit in my tote goat. Any ideas? Thanks.
