Advantages of 40Series of TAV30 ?

#1
Does the 40 series allow for high RPM's or just more Torque?

i tested my kart with a 4:1 ratio , 26pound springs , It is REALLY light by-the-way and when it hits over 60mph the belt starts slipping and i can smell it even at speed and the whole TAV unit gets really hot.

So i'm wondering if a 40 series torque converter would give me higher RPMs or just higher Torque ?

okay, i just found 40 series is for 8-18 horsepower.

Is there a 40series Driver with a 3/4 bore? Google search isn't what it use to be .

because all i see is 1 inch bore drivers..i'm wondering about just using a bigger key.
Edit/Add : saw the 44magnum series but it claims only good to 5000RPM. i need more than that. about 1-1300rpm more.

Some times you have to do your homework.

more horsepower= higher obtainable speed.
more torque= higher acceleration to that speed.

So if 44mph is the fastest attainable speed with the TAV-30 (which is 8hp rated) then a 40 series with a 16hp rating should allow double that .
