Obama signed a bill last week that said the military brass casings could not be sold to the public. They had to shred the casings and sell them as junk brass.
That only lasted 1 day and was overturned.

It's hit or miss where I live. I went into a local discount store last week for .22, and the cupboard was bare. They usually have piles of it. A couple of days later I went into a sporting goods store way out in the country where I work and they had lots. Clerks at both stores said the supply is real uneven right now.
One clerk sad it was because increased military and civilian demand has simply outstripped production capacity. The other person blamed it on the recession. She said that even though an ammo company is in good condition and has lots of customers, they still need a line of credit to buy materials, etc. But since the banks aren't lending money to anyone the whole thing grinds to a halt.
Speaking of .22s, I bought this Taurus revolver this afternoon. I can hardly wait to try it out.

There's plenty around here last time I checked. I've got plenty myself. I remember when Clinton enacted the Brady Bill. It just made it easier to buy handguns here, no more 7 day waiting period, yippee! :smile:

A bunch of people here in California had to turn in their SKS's a few years back, thanks to the newly elected state Attorney General at the time, Bill Lockyer. A Democrat.
