Any off-the-shelf front brakes for the Baja Heat? Or an upgrade for the rear?

Now that the go part is working well, I need to think about more whoa. That rear drum is ok for 25mph but I feel it's sketchy at 40mph.:scared:

I'm not opposed to buying a parts bike just for the brakes. What should I look for?

Buy a disk and hydrolic caliper off eBay. But before find a good spot you can drill holes for the caliper in the frame or get a bracket welded on. I can message you help on how to line up the disk with the hub and get everything installed.

Run a rear wheel on the front and use the drum brake. You only need something to secure the brake unit from spinning

Thanks for posting. Ya I haven't seen an MTD with a disc...nice mod. I was hoping for one on a Baja also...been looking into different set ups to stop the heavy rig.
