I found these markings on my briggs and stratton. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the size of the engine and more about it. As there are no other markings except these. :scooter:

And that's original to a Alexander Reynolds?? It has a sticker saying it meets epa req for off road small engines. Is this replacement engine or original to min-bikes?

The 12 at the beginning of the # is for 12 cubic inches. The 6.5s are 13 cubic inches 206 cc. That mini was made years before the intek. Should have came with a 4hp tecumseh HS40.

6bs

6 designates a 6 cubic inch engine,Which is around a 2 HP engine 6BS engines could be found on old reel type lawn mowers such as Cooper,Picor,Jacobsen etc. They usually had a vacujet carb that the gas tank was directly attached to by 2 phillips head screws.

126312 is the model # of the engine. I'm still betting it's a 5.5 Intek. The engine family # won't ID the size of the engine. Here's a pic of the bike. The 2hp flathead model # started with 600, with the 6 standing for 6 cubic inches.
