they are good for a stock rider, just not a lot of performance parts available like there is for GX series engines...

What I am really wanting is a nice Flathead, but I am having trouble finding a nice one around 5 or more hp.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

i used a 4hp honda just like that on my snow bike i used a tav on it and it had some nice power!

what I like about those engines is the front exhaust, some pretty creative exhaust systems can be made with that set up plus if you get rid of all the stock carb and filter crap and run a mikuni and a k&n style filter the engine starts looking like a single lung motorcycle engine.....kinda like an old Harley Panhead....

I'm not sure if anyone makes intake manifolds for those engines, you may have to fab your own along with the exhaust....

Nah, the Honda motors are crap. Get a clone.
