Attention Toyota Owners...

Runaway fords have never been a problem its getting them TO run ...now thats the problem.

Toyota should use these malfunctions to show off how well their cars handle even when running redlined.

I drive a toyota and will continue to do so.
I have had many and trust any model that is not drive by wire! I have a love/hate relationship with computers, however they have become part of our everyday lives! I had a 83 z28 that blew ECMs like an old car blows fuses and now drive an old suburban that never had one also I stripped the smog stuff as we have no inspection requirements in Oklahoma! Toyotas are good cars though and I would not hesitate to buy the right one, the 22r motors are dead reliable and can be modded easily!

Fords HUGE recall was the "cruise control sensor" in the brake master cylinder.. The rubber seal would break and that switch ALWAYS has power 24/7... so you'd hit the brakes in the driveway and that was the final straw... 3:00 am your family is dead in a house fire because the truck caught the brake fluid on fire in the garage and torched everything around.. we had two trucks in ONE driveway do it in the same summer. :doah:

All motorcycles built in the last ten years or so HAD to have a kill switch. DOT mandated it be mounted next to a riders's hand or it couldn't be sold in the U.S.of A. Always consicered that total BS aimed at motorcycles [that the regulators don't ride]. I'd feel better if all them rice grinder Toyotos has kill switches on the rim of the steering wheel.

I bought a Toyoto yesterday and will be happy with it because I know how to shift into neutral or turn off the engine by turning the ignition key. That sounds simple to me. I hope owning a rice grinder pick up doesn't make me more stupid. A lot of ding dongs driving Toyotos appearenty couldn't figgure that out. Scary to think that these people vote!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeaaahhhh that's the way it is man... Then ya get people on Welfare, fridge full of food, have a power outage in an ice storm.. everyone in the house freezes but the food in the fridge spoils because they aren't smart enough to put the shit out in a snow bank. :doah: Yeah... that is exactly the problem with the world... Ever seen the movie "Idiocracy"

Never saw the movie but it sounds interesting. At one time stupidity or idiocracy would remove a person from the gene pool if indulged in for any period of time. Not so anymore. The government thinks its only job, regardless of cost or limitation of freedoms, is to save ding dongs from their own stupidities. Good grief man! If a driver does not know how to shut down his engine he should not be operating anything more complicated than a bicycle.

Yup... that's called Darwinism.. Natural selection... Yeah, that is EXACTLY what the entire movie is all about.. It's a comedy and its SO funny.. but kinda sickening at the same time.. It's set like 500 years in the future, everybody has their bar code UPC (Mark Of The Beast) US government owns everything, everybody is standing in line ten miles long for overpriced worthless Obama Health Care... It's funny as hell... I will see if I can find ya a link on youtube or hulu or something... it's a great one...

So the movie is kinda about natural selection which results in the most fit remaining in the gene pool. But the government decided the gene pool neeed some some chlorine? I like funny movies.

Yeah well... It's about how they pretty well did like ya said earlier and protect every idiot from everything ever there are no Saber Toothed Cats eating the dumb ones, or they are freezing to death because they are not smart enough to find shelter....
.. The whole world is dummed down by THE LACK OF natural selection and as a
result everyone is just DUMB.. All ya do is sit around and watch porn and do nothing.. Everyone is dependant on the government basically.. Either go our way or starve because you're too dumb to grow a garden type thing....
.. It's hilarious.. I would recomend just renting it probably.. I can't find any direct links to the whole movie... We "borrowed" it from U-Taurent...

today on talk radio......yes, I listen to talk radio at work
(yes by choice)

They had a caller named HENRY that was convinced his idea of having a "tech on call 24/7 to answer the phone at a moments notice and talk someone through a runaway car situation" was the solution.

He made me laugh, he made me mad, he made me sigh at the thought of so many people that cant help themselves, dont want to help themselves and look to someone/anyone to take care of THIER problem.

I thought about how that would work as your careening down the road at redline and trying to explain to the guy with broken english in india about your situation and wondering if he'll get his kids in the background to stop screaming long enough to help you.(umm yeah I've called tech service before)

Excuse me sir.... but I cant hear you with all that screaming and metal grinding .....could please calm down and move the car away from the guard rail.

Now I do believe toyota has a problem a serious problem but the last thing I'm going to be doing in a situation like that is make a phone call.

GM's onstar might get used by me in a situation like that if all I had to do is hit the button and tell them to "shut my damn car down NOW"

I cant get the game to load:sadcrying4: I'll try it again tommorow at work, at Toyota, where I am a technician

Honestly, no BS, I can't remember any complaints/concerns from owners remotely close to what they are saying is happening before any of this started. One thing is for sure though 2 out of every 3 cars I get a ticket on where I am cutting the pedal I have to remove the bunched up cheap dollar store floormat from under the pedal thats sitting on top of the correct floormat that came with the car:doah: I've even pulled out bathroom mats, 2 inch thick cut down welcome mats for your front door, carpet remnants, etc.. all stacked on TOP of the stock floormat in the cars.

I think that the toyota models that are having the accelerator problems should be banned from the road until they are fixed- for the safety of my family!! We all know its not a floor mat or pedal problem- it electronic. They should come clean & quit blowing smoke up our arses!! If they dont, they are toast.
