Parts are rolling in, so happy the engine fits in frame! Lots of work left on putting it together . It's an early post but I gotta stay motivated .

7/8 toss up on new crank 1 inch or cut this one to 3/4 . I'm leaning on new oem crank .

I've never monkeyed around with a diesel. Are they meant to run at 3600 rpm?

Golf Cart clutches are tapered I believe, big though so it may be too much clutch for a bike.

Thanks Jdogg , as far as the Rpms it has 3600 stamped on serial plate . I've accepted the fact that the crank has to be changed or cut but I'm gonna check out those golf kart clutches thanks .

Is there any chance some sort of adapter sleeve would work for the crank? That wouldn't be optimal, I suppose.

I'll be interested to see what sort gear ratio you go with with all that torque...

Crankshaft is 7/8 for 2 1/4 then tapers off with threaded hole. Any sugestion I appreciate , worst case is a new crank or cut this to 3/4 . Crank is gonna be the tuff part of this project. There's a throttle lever near oil fil down low on base of block , intake is missing aircleaner that I have and it has an optional heater for cold startups. Defiantly gonna post a video . They make "clones"of this engine too .

If using a chain, why not contact Jim at max torque directly? He builds way more clutches than he advertises.

I have a 7/8 ( max torque ) clutch could that work? Jack shaft setup? My friend can cut key way . How can I contact him directly?

I don't know that he has, or would build one, only that every time I ask him for some off-the wall two stroke clutch, he does it up for me.

Just ordered a oem crank,
Seals and gasket kit . Strait keyed 1 inch . 5-10 days then they will ship, friend of mine who was gonna cut / key shaft recommended a new crank .

Just got call 3 weeks ! Till oem strait shaft keyed crank is shipped. Gonna work on primer for frame it's already turning orange

Is this the Gigantic kit, or Big Kit? I can't tell from the picture. big has 7"wide tires Gigantic has 11" wide tires.
