bonanza chopper ideas?

I picked this one up at the last swap meet of the season last year, so I have been looking at it for the last 5 months. Still don't know what direction to go with it. I am kind of a low budget guy, but don't mind spending the money if it will be worth what I have invested when I am finished.

Should I throw a old flathead in this and tell my boys to have fun? It has a nice seat and the frame is nice & straight. It was in a basement that flooded a few times, but the rust and corrosion is minimal. The wheels will clean up perfect if I decide to go in that direction.

I need some ideas for this one though. Thoughts???

I know, it looks like the blue paint was original too. I wish it was not peeling off the motor plate. Is there a list of stock colors for these somewhere on here?

Get one of those chrome engine plate covers that Glenn Baine makes....clean up the rest of the bike and it will look great!!

I have one of thoes as well. I need a tank for mine. I'm going to swap motors on it
Mine will go back orange

Anyone know what motor would be correct for this one?? It has no provision for a jack shaft and there is a recessed area on the motor mount plate for the chain to have clearance on its way to the rear wheel.

If you want to have jackshaft, and are able to weld, you could use one of these type kits Weld on - Adjustable Jackshaft Plates or like this:

If you can't weld, like me, than you can use an under engine jackshaft mount - Clutch Mount with Jackshaft : Go Karts Parts: Racing Kart Parts: Engines: Frames: Tires: Versailles, Ohio: USA: Indoor Track: Tips: Chassis: Kits: GoKart: Briggs: Yerf Dog: Manco: Comet: Torque

Not as nice as a easy to handle regular mini bike, but not bad either. I personally would pick a chopper for riding on the road because it is comfortable and cool.

I think it depends on your size? I mean if you're anywhere north of 5 foot 5, you're gonna have a hard time riding one! I wanted one for myself, until I seen these pics and figured there was no way I would fit on one.
