Boonie project.

I had one of these when I was a kid. Now that my son has a mini bike (azusa kit) that we just recently built I picked this Boonie up from jeep as a roller. Plans are to weld up the added holes in the engine plate. Rear tire flip and a predator with a little work and a Chinese tav. This is a rider to play with my son and his.

Why the rear tire flip? Jackshaft good.

With the clone and the tav there isn't room for the jackshaft. Plus it's one less chain.

Power plant for the boonie. Old limited modified briggs.

Found the Briggs limited. Got it tore down and parts ordered to freshen it up. Engine specs are stock bore, dual bearing block, welded block and lifter bores. Dyno .400 lift cam, dual springs, horstman 4.425 rod, wiseco 2 ring piston, Tillotson on gas. Should be a stout engine.

Some engine photos. Got a new rod bearing, new rings and gaskets. Sent he carb out to be replaced with a gas Tillotson from competition carbs. New paint. Then the unveil.

Slight change of plans. I fell into a few gx390 big blocks. As you can see I now have a big block boonie.

I'm looking for a header for the gx 390 that will fit the boonie bike if anyone knows of one that's a bolt on.

Every place I called for gx390 parts wouldn't answer the phone. So I bought 2 predators. One for the Azusa and one for the boonie. Also put a Chinese tav on the boonie.
